🗓️ Itinerary Overview
Day 1: Dar es Salaam → Nyerere National Park (Selous)
Depart Dar es Salaam and travel to Nyerere National Park. Arrive for lunch followed by an afternoon boat safari along the Rufiji River—perfect for spotting hippos, crocodiles, elephants, and rich birdlife.
Overnight in Selous.
Day 2: Full-Day Game Drive – Selous Wilderness
Enjoy a full-day game drive through Selous’ vast plains and miombo woodlands. The park is known for elephants, wild dogs, lions, buffaloes, and diverse bird species. Picnic lunch provided in the bush.

Day 3: Morning Walking Safari & Afternoon Game Drive
Start the day with a guided walking safari led by a ranger, learning tracks and bush behavior up close. After lunch, proceed on another game drive focusing on wildlife hotspots within the reserve.

Day 4: Selous → Mikumi National Park
After breakfast, depart Selous and drive to Mikumi National Park. Enjoy a scenic journey through small villages and eastern Tanzania landscapes. Arrive in the afternoon for a short introductory game drive.

Day 5: Full-Day Game Drive – Mikumi Savannahs
Spend the entire day exploring Mikumi’s wide-open plains, often compared to the Serengeti. See elephants, lions, wildebeests, zebras, giraffes, hippos, and many antelope species. Enjoy superb photography opportunities.

Day 6: Mikumi → Dar es Salaam
After breakfast, enjoy a relaxed morning before driving back to Dar es Salaam, marking the end of your Southern Circuit adventure.
